We don’t like ‘em any more than you do. Trinket
peddlers. Catalog pushers. Trunk slammers (see illus 1-2).
We never wanted to be in their company. That’s why we struck
out on our own to form Thunder Road Brandworks.
Brand building doesn’t come from a menu or a template. It comes
from the head and the heart. Not to be sappy here, but if you don’t
love what you do, and if you don’t believe in your product or
your business, you can’t expect anyone else to.
Years of experience in the trenches brought us to this moment. Founder
Matt Coben worked in the financial services industry
earlier in his career, including time as Chief Marketing Officer for
Transamerica Capital. He was on the client side, often wined and dined
by promotional marketers. Most brought nothing new to the table. When
someone did, Matt paid attention.
The best of what we learned, and the ideas we’ve explored and
executed since moving to the consulting side of the relationship,
are fuel for Thunder Road’s forward momentum. More than consultants,
we consider ourselves partners in our clients’ success. Side
by side — driver’s seat and shotgun — we’re
ready for anything. |
